The sign of an exemplary school leader is the awareness -- despite the school’s successes -- that there is much more to accomplish. In the experience of principals undertaking Breaking Ranks in the Middle recommendations, it is not possible to declare the work of school improvement completed, because breaking ranks is a process of continuous improvement.
