Activities


Academy activities include a 39-semester hour Master of Public Administration with a Concentration in (Urban) Education program for aspiring principals consisting of 13 courses inclusive of a clinical practice requirement; two, (3) three-credit hour courses for current principals designed to meet State of Michigan recertification requirements; no-cost professional development workshops and special topic sessions open to all aspiring and practicing principals with the Academy’s seven district target area; "Leadership Dialogues," a series of no-cost informal background sessions open to all aspiring and practicing principals within the seven districts and featuring speakers from, among others, the Michigan Department of Education and the Michigan Department of Human Services, and various social and networking functions.
