Program Evaluation

The First Ring Leadership Academy is continuing its third year of internal and external assessment under contract with the Battelle Research Institute in Columbus, Ohio. Evaluation of the Academy conducted by Battelle includes pre-assessments, session evaluations, teacher surveys, focus groups, post-program quiz/indicators, post-program self-assessments, and end of school self-assessments. The Academy is also conducting surveys of participants, superintendents, and human resource directors to track the absorption of members into leadership positions within the First Ring. It is evident that these instruments have begun to help tell the story of leadership development. Results from Battelle’s research and the Academy’s surveys continue to inform the curriculum and practices.
