Requirements

The process of placement is competitive. Interns and aspiring administrators must go through a selection process before being accepted to a leadership program. The selection process includes a resume screening, writing sample, panel interview, and a principal interview. Candidates for the administrative intern program must have at least 5 years teaching experience, with 3 of those years in FCPS, and must be within 12 credit hours of receiving their masters in education. LEAD-eligible schools are those with an economically disadvantaged (free/reduced meal) student population of at least 20 percent.
