LEAD Fairfax | Fairfax County Public Schools, Fairfax, Va.
Results
Research indicates that systemic change typically requires three to five years to take root. With that in mind, Fairfax County Public Schools' Department of Educational Accountability has collected student achievement data on each of the schools that have been involved for up to two years in the LEAD Fairfax initiative. Additionally, the Department of Educational Accountability collects achievement data on other FCPS initiatives in which LEAD schools participate. At this point, no attempts have been made by the Department of Educational Accountability's Office of Program Evaluation to link any descriptions of change in student outcomes to the LEAD Fairfax initiative. Analyses of relevant student-achievement data are anticipated during years four through five of the grant.
