Principal Leadership Program for Rural Multicultural Schools Across Northern New Mexico (LeadNM) | University of New Mexico
Instruction
The program’s professional learning community cohorts are facilitated by Connie Chene, a nationally recognized facilitator trained by the Annenberg Institute as a Critical Friends Facilitator and former principal herself. Ann House, the program manager is also a trained Critical Friends facilitator. These two individuals provide the facilitation for the monthly professional learning community cohort meetings.
A unique concept pioneered in northern New Mexico uses local veteran experts called "circuit riders," who are located within three regionally-defined arenas. They provide direct support to the principals, acting as on-site mentors. They also attend the monthly professional learning community cohort meetings and support the facilitators.
