Principal Leadership Program for Rural Multicultural Schools Across Northern New Mexico (LeadNM) | University of New Mexico
Results
At this time there is minimal impact that principal professional development can be traced directly to impact on K-12 student achievement. The State of New Mexico has changed its testing criteria from a norm reference test to a criterion referenced test in the past two years, creating only baseline data regarding student achievement. CRT scores for Academic Year 2004-05 indicate that 33 schools whose principals participate in LeadNM professional learning community cohorts made AYP, out of 64 schools that are served.
