National Institute for School Leadership, Inc. (NISL) | National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE)
Obstacles
First, national and state budgets for education are a problem for a number of school districts that are struggling to find ways to fund NISL’s executive leadership development for principals -- even while agreeing that the prices for this high-quality program are modest. Second, getting the time commitment from districts and superintendents for principals’ training is a serious challenge. (NISL requires a commitment of about 30 days over eighteen months to two years.)
