Strategies for Student Success
The NISL program equips school leaders with the right knowledge, skills, attitudes, and tools to deepen their capabilities as instructional leaders. NISL facilitators do this particularly in literacy and math instruction. The principal may not have to be an expert in each content area, but they do have to recognize and demand good instruction in each subject. Through analyses of many classroom videos at various levels, the principal hones the skills neede to drive instructional improvements. Each unit includes practical applications and tools such as gap analyses that focus on such improvements.
