New Leaders for New Schools
Program Evaluation
New Leaders evaluates the success of the program based on the quality of leaders graduating from the program, the organizational health of New Leaders schools, and sustained gains in student performance. New Leaders uses research-based indicators of school quality, which are linked to the curriculum, to measure progress towards school improvement, and we rely on both external and internal evaluation efforts to inform our work.
To help drive our internal evaluation, we have developed a Principal’s Report Card, a new data analysis tool that will allow us to provide our principals with school- and student-level data in a concise, useful report.
We have partnered with the Center for Research in Educational Policy (CREP) at the University of Memphis as an external evaluator of our impact on student achievement. Our partnership with CREP will generate rich data on six key measures of school quality and will help clarify the link between effective principal leadership and positive student outcomes.
