New Leaders for New Schools

Program Goals

New Leaders for New Schools aims to ensure high academic achievement for all students by strategically building our direct and systemic impact. Direct Impact boosts student achievement for every child in urban public schools led by our principals, while Systemic Impact boosts student achievement systemically in urban public schools. Systemic impact is designed to create a critical mass of school leaders in our cities by 2008 -- with 600 New Leaders principals and residents serving 300,000 students annually -- and catalyze broad change in school districts across the country by serving as a national model and pioneering knowledge capture and dissemination strategies.
