New Leaders for New Schools

Instruction

The New Leaders curriculum is designed to give principals the necessary knowledge and skills to lead successful schools. We rely on a nationally recognized faculty from around the country which includes experts from the education and business worlds as well as outstanding principals to deliver quality instruction to our principals in training.

Well-known faculty, such as Jeff Howard from The Efficacy Institute, discuss ways to create a culture of high expectations and align people around a common vision. Karen Levesque and Sharon Anderson from MPR Associates, Inc. examine how to effectively use data to drive instruction. To foster effective teaching, John Saphier and other experts lead sessions on instruction and teaching analysis, teacher teams and collaboration, and data as a tool to guide decisions and build accountability. John King (Roxbury Prep), Norman Atkins and New Leader Paul Bambrick-Santoyo (both of North Star Academy) have taught courses specifically for new and secondary schools, including strategies to build a personalized environment, create a respectful culture, and utilize technology.
