Principals Excellence Program | University of Kentucky and Pike County Public Schools
Populations Targeted
PEP was designed to provide advanced leadership development for novice and veteran school leaders and prospective principal candidates in elementary and secondary high-need schools. Although Pike County is a remote rural education system with many hard-to-staff schools, the superintendent and his leadership team maintain high expectations for the district’s principals. Poverty and limited resources are not perceived as stumbling blocks to achieving “Success For All” students, the district’s mission.
