School Leadership Executive Institute (SLEI) | South Carolina Department of Education

Activities

Sessions include a wide variety of instructional and training strategies. While there is some direct instruction, a premium is placed on interactive instruction that allows students to share successes and failures and learn together. The case study method and Socratic seminars are used to enhance learning. Participants experience problem-solving, coaching, reflective journaling, role-playing, goal-setting and data assessment. They complete homework on-line and receive feedback on numerous 360 degree surveys. Activities include cutting-edge leadership, business, and education concepts.
