Leadership Issues and Challenges
Some of the most significant challenges the program faces in working with aspiring principals include:
A lack of instructional knowledge that severely limits the potential of the person to provide instructional leadership to the teachers they will supervise; Many aspiring principals certified in administration have had an ineffective practicum experience, most notably one that was too-brief and was including mentoring by an ineffective principal; Districts do not have clarity in expectations in the areas that guide the curriculum.
