UMKC Principals Institute | University of Missouri - Kansas City
History
In 1998, a partnership was forged with the University of Missouri Kansas City and the Kauffman Foundation to develop school leadership at the building level in both the Kansas City, Missouri School District and the Kansas City, Kansas School District. Initially, this program worked with practicing principals and has now evolved to working with aspiring principals in both districts. This has provided a richer resource for the districts. In 2005 with the completion of the grants from Kauffman, the UMKC Principals Institute, the participating districts are sharing in the costs of the program.
