Requirements

Participants must apply for admission into the Aspiring Principals Academy by submitting a written application. The director of the program, in concert with school district administrators, makes selection decisions. In the larger district that the program works with, all applicants who apply are interviewed using the Haberman Star Principals Selection Interview. This becomes a primary tool in selecting participants. The purpose for the continued raising of standards to be admitted is because school districts are becoming more and more convinced that in investing time and resources in principal preparation, they want to insure that they are working with the best possible candidates that can indeed become future principals.
