Program Goals and Objectives

By the end of this program participants will demonstrate the ability to hire and retain the highly qualified employee; provide programs to keep the employee cognizant of the expectations of his/her district for student achievement.

Program Format

Identify the highly qualified applicant and hire the candidate
Ascertain that the administrator at the school level has the highly qualified individual assigned to their teaching area of expertise and endorsement
Involve the district staff employee, who validates teacher licensure, insures that the candidate is highly qualified for the teaching assignment
Incorporate a committed mentor program that gives support to the new employee
Incorporate a successful staff development program that provides the workshops and courses needed by staff to enhance their instructional programs
Licensure staff employee provides leadership to advisors on status of the teaching license of license holders
Licensure staff employee communicates revisions in the license information from the Department of Education to advisor
