The Five Steps of Continuous Quality Improvement | Louisa Strayhorn & Associates

Program Description

Teaches Continuous Quality Improvement process by solving problems faced by their own school system. This CQI training builds on traditional quality assurance methods by emphasizing organization and systems. It focuses on how most problems faced by administrators involve processes rather than individuals and teaches course participants how to identify and value both internal & external customers. The participants also learn to rely on objective data to analyze & improve processes.

Program Goals and Objectives

By the end of this program participants will demonstrate the ability to develop a conceptual understanding of the CQI process. They will be able to demonstrate the application of their skills to solve process problems using the CQI process. Program participants will also be able to function better as a member of a problem solving team.

Program Format

Using one of their school division or location problems to teach participants the five major steps within the CQI process.

3 sessions @ 2 hours each.

Did participants develop a conceptual understanding of CQI?

Did participants demonstrate a desire to function as a team? The evidence will be gathered from participants' self-report and pre/post survey.
