Program Description
This program provides a road map for school leaders as they engage in their single most important leadership skill: decision making. With practical examples, this presentation will demonstrate how to create a positive school culture, spur school improvement, and make decisions in the context of No Child Left Behind.Virginia Standard(s) Addressed

Program Goals and Objectives
By the end of this program participants will learn:
- the steps in the classical decision making process;
- the potential pitfalls and the advantages of involving others in decisions;
- how to differentiate between 4 types of decision makers; and
- the impact of decisions on school improvement and AYP.
Program Format
This program will be implemented as a presentation using approximately 60% lecture and 40% interaction.Target Audience
