Program Description
This one-day workshop provides National Honor Society Advisors with information about chapter organization and activities.

Program Goals and Objectives
By the end of this program, participants will learn how to:
- demonstrate inquiry about current trends and issues as they pertain to the National Honor Society and other student honor recognition organizations.
- demonstrate an understanding of collaboration and communication skills to improve their NHS or other student honor recognition chapter.
- understand the importance of school law and its impact on NHS and other student honor recognition organizations.
Program Format
Large group presentations with identified speakers associated with VASSP.
Target Audience
National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society Advisors.
Self-Selection and/or Identification Through School Division
Participants may self-select to attend or they may be identified by the school division to attend.
Duration of Program
One-day conference with large group sessions focusing on identified topics. Participants may contact Michael Newman, VASSP Division of Student Leadership Services, for follow up assistance at

Outcomes Measured
Outcomes are measured by the school divisions that support the attendance of the participants.
Program Evaluation
Each participant completes a conference evaluation form providing feedback to VASSP for use in future conferences.
