Program Description

Vision To Practice: Literacy Beyond the Early Years for school division personnel including teachers and administrators. The program includes national level speakers on literacy issues from grades 3-12.

Program Goals and Objectives

By the end of this program, participants will have a variety of strategies to address current challenges to school division personnel in developing successful literacy strategies for students beyond grade three. Participants will by able to apply a variety of approaches in their classrooms such as the use reading coaches, writing strategies, vocabulary strategies, fluency skills, and other issues addresses by the National Reading Panel Report.

On-site interactive lecture, activities, and discussions.

Elementary, middle school and high school teachers, principals, and support staff from grades 3-12
