Program Description
This three-day conference provides elementary, middle, and high school students with learning experiences in leadership and opportunities to practice the citizenship skills necessary for effective participation in our democratic society.

Program Goals and Objectives
By the end of this program, participants will learn how to:
- apply effective leadership skills and techniques.
- demonstrate specific skills as they pertain to council or club offices.
- practice the democratic process.
Program Format
Large and small group presentations with identified speakers and group activities that exhibit leadership strategies that enhance student skills.
Target Audience
Elementary, middle, and high school students who are involved in leadership activities within their school or those who aspire to build their leadership capacity.
Self-Selection and/or Identification Through School Division
Participants will be selected or recommended by school organization sponsors.
Duration of Program
A three-day conference concentrating on techniques and strategies for building and enhancing leadership skills.
Outcomes Measured
Outcomes are measured by the school divisions that support the attendance of the participants.
Program Evaluation
Each participant completes a conference evaluation form providing feedback to the Department of Student Leadership at VASSP and VSCA for use in future conferences.
